We hear “24-7” all the time these days. It means simply 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Rarely is it taken literally. Maybe that’s why perpetual adoration is so rare, so challenging to the faith community, and so valuable to the individuals who invest themselves in this ministry each week. Perpetual adoration is just that. It is the continuous adoration of our Lord, present in the Eucharist. SS Peter and Paul has been blessed in this ministry since May of 2003. The Holy Eucharist is present 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in a monstrance on the alter of our St. Francis chapel (in the convent building just east of the main church) for personal prayer, reflection and adoration. All are welcome to join this personal ministry of prayer. |
